For this project I had to make an image out of words and phrases that relate to the image. Paul McCartney is made out of song titles like "Money Can't Buy Me Love", "Love Me Do", "Yesterday" and "Hey Jude". The first thing I did was make the brushes I wanted to paint on the image with. I used the type tool to write out the song titles and selected the song titles one by one with the rectangular marquee tool, clicked on edit and define brush preset. Then I posterized the image in image adjustments. This made the image have different shades. With the rectangular marquee tool I made a small selection in one of the shades and then selected similar. and on a new layer I used the brush tool to paint on the song title that I wanted for that particular shade. I repeated the process with the other shades until the image was complete. I also used the eraser tool to erase some words off the image if it was too dark. I used the brushes that I made to erase in that form.
The hardest part of the project was to get the right amount of words to be on each level so that the image was shaded correctly. After all this process I believe I did a pretty good job portraying Paul McCartney in text.
