Double Exposure

  1. As this the artist of these pieces, what was your main objective?

My main objective was two find to images that relate in some way and then expose one picture through the other one.

  1. What tools did we primarily use for this project?

I used a layer mask and the brush tool and the quick selection tool to select the area I want to expose the other picture with and make the layer mask.

  1. What were some of the challenges you faced during this project?

Coming up with 2 images that go together well or relate. And also making the exposed picture fit perfectly into the first image.

  1. One of the options for this project was to remove the background of your main image. If you chose that option for one or all your pieces, what tools or techniques did you use to remove it? Were there some tools or techniques that worked better for you than others?

I removed the background with the quick selection tool and with the polygonal lasso tool when the quick selection didn’t eliminate everything.

  1. What are the advantages of using a Layer Mask to create the Double Exposure effect?

The advantages of using a layer mask is that I can move around the image that’s behind the first image without it being cut out.
