What is a ligature logo?

A logo is a graphic mark or emblem commonly used by commercial enterprises, organizations and even individuals to aid and promote instant public recognition.

How would describe the corporate identity of ESMA in 5 words?

Innovative

Fresh

Which logo out of the two do you feel is the strongest and why?

I like my first ESMA design the most because of the way it’s connected looks like a bit like a sound wave, which relates to the corporate identity because it is a record company where music is its main purpose.

If you had no requirements or restrictions how would your logo look different?

In each letter there would be the picture of a different artist that recorded in this company.

Explain which ligature techniques you have demonstrated on each logo:

For the first Design I removed a part of the stroke of the “M” and I used the building bridges technique to connect the “S”, “M” and “A” with a thin line and a circle in the middle.

For the second design II removed a stroke in the “A” and used the stroke of the “M” to make it look like the complete letter. I also cut off a stroke of the "M" in order to connect to the top part of the "S". To bring unity to the word I used the serif from the "A" and elongate to be underneath the whole word.
