Photo Retouch

As the artist of this piece, what was your main objective?

My objective was to make a celebrity look younger by taking away or covering any imperfections with photoshop.

What tools did we primarily use for this project?

For this project I used the spot healing brush tool to take away wrinkles, the patch tool to take away stubborn spots and cover grey hairs. I also created an extra layer to paint his hair black with the paint brush tool. I lowered the opacity so the color wouldn't look solid and overshadow the texture of the hair.

What were some of the challenges you faced during this project?

The challenge was to make the retouching look realistic and not painted on. Also taking away the grey and white hairs from the stublle took longer to do than the rest of his face.

Do you feel you successfully completed the project? Why or why not?

I think I did because he does look younger without all the wrinkles and his grey hairs, while still maintaining a natural look.
