What is a letterform design?

A letterform design is one path to take when designing in which individual shapes of letters give text an aesthetic but aside from letters, numbers and symbols can also be used.

What was your job as the designer?

My job as the designer was to create a letterform design using letters, numbers ad symbols while applying techniques learned in class and meet the requirements stated. Also I had to demonstrate my knowledge of the principles of design and show my best craftsmenship and perspective.

What were some of the challenges you faced during this project?

Some of the challenges I faced during this project would be that I was indecisive about the color scheme and the lack of ideas when I first started the project and then when I did get the ideas the execution didn’t fulfill what I imagined.

Do you feel you successfully completed the project? Why or why not?

I feel that I successfully completed the project because I put in all my thought and creativity so it wasn’t just something random that I put together.I also think I have a good grasp of the principles of letter form design.

If you can change something about the project what would it be and why?

One thing I would change is the color scheme. I was never really able to decide on which colors I wanted. I would change it for a more contrasted color scheme because I want it to pop out.
