To make Lana look sharp I used an easy and fast technique. The first step was to create a copy layer of the original photo, on that layer I made a triangle with the polygonal lasso tool, I went to window and clicked on actions, created a new action and started recording. I went to the the filter menu, clicked on blur and then average. The triangular area obtained a solid color, after that I copied and pasted the layer and clicked back on the copy of the original layer. I stopped recording, clicked on the edit menu, went to keyboard shortcut and searched for the action shortcut and inserted "command+G" as the shortcut. Now every time I made a triangle with the polygonal lasso tool and pressed "command+G" it played the action that I recorded which was blur the selected area, make a copy of the layer and go back to the copy of the image. Because a lot of layers were created, every now and then I had to merge the layers or else the computer would lag.
To make the background I chose a gradient on the tool bar and customized the colors.
My biggest challenge with this was the spaces in between that were left after making the triangles because they didn't fit together perfectly. For that I made another layer and used the paint brush tool to fill in the gaps.
